Kamala Harris has officially accepted the party nomination as the candidate of the Democratic Party to fight in the US presidential election next November. The BBC says that Thursday was the last day of the four-day national convention of the Democratic Party in Chicago, Illinois, the country's local time. And Kamala Harris accepted the party nomination last night.
Present Vice President Kamla addressed the conference after accepting the party nomination. There he said, I will be the president of all Americans.
Apart from this, he said, this nomination of mine is an opportunity to create a new path. The country must move forward. But not as a member of any party or faction, but as an American.
Presidential elections are going to be held in the country on November 5. Kamala Harris' opponent is Republican Party candidate and former President Donald Trump.
