Massive Russian air strikes in Ukraine, 7 dead 

 Russian forces have carried out the largest airstrikes in Ukraine. This information was reported by the BBC citing the head of the Air Force of Ukraine. 

According to the report, on Monday (August 26), more than half of the territory of Ukraine was attacked by missiles and drones. At least seven people were killed. Dozens were injured. Much of Ukraine was left in darkness due to attacks on energy installations. Air raid warnings were also issued across Ukraine and citizens were asked to seek shelter. 


 Russia has confirmed that it has attacked Ukraine's energy facilities. Also, it has been said by Russia that they have attacked all the targets. The BBC says the missile and drone strikes that began overnight on Monday continued into the morning. 


 Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleschak said Russia fired 127 missiles and 109 drones overnight. However, Ukrainian forces shot down 102 missiles and 99 drones.
