Heavy rain across Saudi Arabia, submerged cars and roads

Roads and cars are submerged
Heavy rains have caused flooding across Saudi Arabia. Many cars were completely submerged and roads were damaged. Traffic has also stopped. This information was reported in the online report of Gulf News on Friday (August 23).


Arab News reported heavy rain, strong winds and lightning in Makkah, Madinah and other areas on Thursday. Brajapat also happened near the clock tower of Mecca. 

The country's National Security Operations Center has issued an alert for more heavy rain in Mecca. Red alert has been issued in several regions of Saudi Arabia due to the possibility of more heavy rains. 

These regions include Taif, Ardiat, Adam, Bani Yazid and Mesan regions. This information was given in a forecast issued by the country's National Meteorological Department. 

Apart from this, the country's meteorologists have warned of moderate to heavy thunderstorms in some other areas. These regions include, Najran, Jizan, Asir, Al Baha.
